Component width 100% ?

First of many newbie questions....
Trying to create a component which has a width of 100% not a fixed pixel width.

My component is made up of two divs one with float:left, one with float:right and the component will be in a liquid area.

If the answer is "RTFM" please enlighten me with which manual and which section/page. I've spent most of the afternoon trying to find it.

Well this is embarrassing. It does it automatically. I set the width really wide and the page layout reduced it automatically.

I always prefer using fixed area layouts than freeform, since I've yet to encounter any organization that was implementing LiveSite without having a consistent visual design. In FAL, components always stretch horizontally to fit their containing area, so you limit the ability of your users to do silly things like set width=100000px.
