VMWare Workstation/Desktop iwfsd.sys Failure

We get a Blue Screen of Death with a 7.2.1 installation on Windows 2008 using VMWare Workstation/Desktop .

The culprit seems to be iwfsd.sys.

Does any one know of how i can disable driver verification for this or how to work around it? I have already tried using the 'Driver Verifier' in Windows and it doesn't really do any help to us.

To add more context:

1. the system crashes on the preview of a file. This happens roughly 7 times out of 10.

2. the system crashes even though no work is being done on it. This happens anywhere between 10 minutes to 20 hours.

Just a shot in the dark - perhaps there's a driver problem?
Not sure how you'd verify that - I'd suggest contacting Support.

We have seen the same with this version of TS. No resolution so far.

You shuld contact support and be prepared to send a whole bunch of files/logs/etc to support.

Thankfully there was a resolution.

They sent us new 'signed' drivers for the 32-bit version we were using.

It's been working without going down for the past 2-3 days.

Anyone else facing this issue should get in touch with support.
