Passing DCR value to OD Receiver log.

Could anyone tell me if there is a way to pass the DCR field element value to the OD Receiver log file?

For DD it is already there, OpenDeploy moves files so it does not know or care what is in them

You would need to parse the DCR before the deployment is kicked off and use a command line parameter.

Thanks! I tried parsing the dcr and was able to write the value in to the odbase log file. But I am not sure on which file to add my customized code for od receiver logs.

I don't recall if command line parameters get reflected in the receiver logs - if they do, then doing what Nipper suggested should work; otherwise you're in completely unsupported waters.
Perhaps the bigger question is: Why do you want to place this piece of information into the OD Receiver logs?
There might be a better, more supported way to achieve the end result you're really after.

If I use DNR, again, how does DNR values gets reflected in the receiver log? I think I still didnt get your idea of implementing this. Could you explain me where do I add the DNR scripts for odreceiver side? Currently we have DNR scripts in a perl module, which is reflected in the odbase log file.

My suggestion (which probably follows close on Nipper's):

Attempting to hack / add custom information into the product log files is unsupported and likely to continue to cause you problems. It was a bad architectural decision which should just be fixed rather than continuing to try to pound the proverbial round-peg into a square hole (or vice-versa)

I believe that second DCR was supposed o be DNR - yes?

The DNR essentially is a script - you would be passing the information as a parameter to the script. Whether that information is the field value from the DCR or the name and location of the DCR to be parsed on the target side is entirely up to you. I'd tend to favor the former rather than the latter since you know you have utilities for parsing the information from the DCR on the source side, but that's me - and with limited knowledge of the needs of the project.
