Visual Format and URL "&" encoding issue.

We're having an issue with VF where if the user is in the editor and types in the body of a paragraph a URL, the entire URL is HTML encoded. This is a problem for us since the structure of our URLs cannot have URL encoded apersands "&". The editor is encoding the "&" into "%26" and this is breaking our URLs in our aplication. Is there a setting that will prevent the character encoding? Or even better, prevent character encodng for specific characters?

Check <clean...> Tag in your VFE Configuration File. In it you *may* have charencode Attribute set to "entityname".
Change it to charencode="utf-8" or perhaps charencode="charref", see if that gives you what you need

Actually the editor is converting "&" to "&". We need it to just keep the "&".

I just tried changing the clean tag, and tried all of the options but the result stayed the same when you switched to "code view" the "&" changes to "&". Hmmm....

I don't believe you can prevent that, as '&' by itself is not XML-compliant - however, that should only be an issue if you're attempting to read the raw XML rather than generating an HTML output file where the content should be de-entitized back to its original form.
