Unable to open any file in Content Center

Hi,

Im unable to any file in my content center.

I can able to EDIT files like(listDcr.txt ...etc), But im unable to open them in preview mode.

Im getting error like page cannot be opened.

I can able to open DCR's in preview mode.

But im unable to open files other than DCR's in preview mode.

Can any one help me to solve this issue.

Make sure that your branch /workarea name doesn't have ".com" string in it.

I checked the names of workarea its not containg string with ".com"

Please help me in solving this, Its troubling a lot.

What does iwstat show?

Not being able to open files for editing with TeamSite is usually an indication that one or more of the content stores is frozen and thus in read-only mode.

Alternatively, it could be a permissions / roles issue - if you do not have sufficient privileges on a branch and/or do not have the correct (or any) roles associated with you on that branch, you won't be able to edit files there either.

I am in using iwmaster or any other users and tyring to preview the files by clicking on the name of the file. Then in new popup window instead of preview it is showing "The Page cannot be found.".

Its not about edit feature but my issue is about preview.

Please help me in solving this.

Uhm - do you have a "customer web server" installed and configured properly on your TeamSite server?

On Windows it's usually IIS running on port 81.

I bet there is no IIS on your Linux, but the preview should be carried out using your Apache Webserver. Contact your system admin, he can configure it to have your preview enabled.

On Linux you would have Apache, not IIS. Typically Apache is installed (by default) not to autostart on boot.

If you have root access, run

locate apachectl

and use that path to run

apachectl start

That will start it. An admin can set it up in init.d to start on boot

If locate returns more than one instance of Apache, you will have to figure which one was configured during the install to work with TeamSite (typically /usr/sbin/apachectl)
