Changing displayed timezone in teamsite

Is there a provision to change the displayed time settings in teamsite ?. I know its using the server's time, but want to know if I can use a timezone converter for displaying(without changing server's time).

Eg: Server using UTC time, but I need to display MST time in Teamsite.

Nope, you're out of luck. The datetime strings in the UI use the SimpleDateFormat and Locale objects to format the date. You can change _some_ of the date strings in _some_ places via the csstd_ui.xml and other such files in the UITK, but they're not all in there. For instance, you can't change the date string on the properties view for a file; it's just not made configurable by the UITK. If you change those where you can without hacking TeamSite jsps, then you end up with an inconsistent experience and users are left guessing which format they're actually looking at.

My suggestion: bump up the feature request that's been on the table for ages and in the meantime, train your users to remember that all date/times are in server time.

that suggestion has been made to the client. They did not like my answer of deal with it then Smiley Very Happy

I tried changing the timezone (.bashrc profile to use MST) for iwui user , but we execute the server startup scripts with sudo on root. It takes the zone settings(UTC) from root user and not iwui's time zone setting (MST).

However when I do "ps -ef" , I see the process owner as iwui user and not root. Shouldn't it load .profile for iwui when starting the server ?

Do you know in which script it uses iwui user as argument when starting the server ?
