Teamsite 7.2.1 Installation | Database info needed

We have some queries for related to Teamsite 7.2.1 installation.
1. I am planning to use SQL server 2008 as database which is present on a remote box. This remote server currently contains production data deployed through datadeploy. I have no requirement of Site-publisher, Livesite, Search and report center. So I am planning to create only iwcommon, iwevent schema on this database but Installation guide page 71 step 33 and 34 ask the Database for Teamsite Reporting database and Basic report center as well . Why is it mandatory.

2. Do I need to create blank schema on database server initially and then provide connection information with DB schema name and other details in Teamsite installation Or the Schema get automatically created if you specify Schema name with other details during installation.

3. Will the remote DB server require a Database server restart after teamsite installation. Can there be a size issue due to data of Teamsite schemas on the existing prod server.

4. I am planing to install first ODbase then OD-Admin and then Teamsite. Now in existing Server I have iw-home at Location /usr/ and OpenDeployNG and Admin Server at location /usr/iw-home/. I want to mantain the same directory structure on new server as I am migrating. So how can I install OD-base at location /usr/iw-home/ when Teamsite is installed later which creates iw-home directory at /usr/.

7.2.1 requires 3 different DBs during the install (TS, SP and LSCS) whether you are licensed for them or not. Be prepared to have them ready. The installer will not let you share the DB. Do not remember if report center is a different DB or not, though the install is broken for RC and there is an addendum to get it installed. Just provide the DB and the installer will make the tables.

DB server does not need to be restarted.

New installs of TS/OD will create the folders (TeamSite and OpenDeployNG) usually under /usr/Interwoven or some similar. It will find existing installs and place the install in the legace location (/usr/iw-home)

Other query is while connecting to remote DB, Do I need to create DB schema along with user with full rights. That is shall I create a schema suppose "iwcommon" on the DB server and then provide its name with other info in teamsite installation steps Or is the Schema gets created automatically If i specify its name in installation steps.

My another query is- as per installation guide I should install ODbase and Odadmin before Teamsite. Now in my existing environment I have OD base at location /usr/iw-home/OpenDeployNG and teamsite at /usr/iw-home/ So How can I install ODbase first at location /usr/iw-home/OpenDeployNG when /usr/iw-home/ is still not created. iw-home directory would be created after teamsite installation

You are wrong. reread my post. The installer requires the DB connections whether you use them or not.

You make a DB, and a user. The installer will create the schema and all tables. You do not.

Again you cannot.

If you upgrade an existing install with /usr/iw-home and /use/iw-home/OpenDeployNG, it will work but a new install will not

A note of caution of installing TeamSite 7.x.

It will create a directory called TeamSite if you are doing a new install instead of an upgrade install. You won't be able to change it. So if it ask you to input a directory:
and you put in:
/usr/iw-home
The installer will create
/usr/iw-home/TeamSite
