We are on Solaris 9.0 on both source and target servers. TS 6.5 OD 6.0, use Oracle 8i, -- but inserts to DB are external tasks in workflow. The workflow is for Products category and data type and generally it has a good number of media files associated to the job. .swf's audio and video files. The total size of the content can be 600MB to 1.5GB. Yes, its enormous. The deployment is transactional. When the job is kicked off, it is all good for some time and then over 5-6 mins, the receiver's OD dies off. There is an error stating "File not readable". Thats not always true. Because very rarely, at times, when there is no other load on the server, the job completes although takes hours to do it. I am not looking for a solution for the problem, but would like to gather some insight into best practices, suggestions and types of deployment to use. etc. I do know its not the size, but the count of files - is what matters for WF. However, in the industry, how have people implemented this, and would recommend? I have tried to clear on what I am seeking, in this hurried post. For all Guru's there, thanks in advance and your best replies are most appreciated. N/-.,

...Also as mentioned earlier, WF has more issues with numbers of files attached than its size....
