I am trying to deploy few file from one server to another server, both the base server and receiver servers are up, I am able to connect to receiver server through telnet command from base.

But the error in log file show as below
ERROR: Connection failed: Could not find matching OpenDeploy client for (Base server host name)

Attached are the odbase.xml,odnodes.xml, odrcvr.xml, odnodes.xml and test.xml(configuration file)

Request help for solving this issue

Error on linux sys :
[root@ bin]# ./iwodstart test -k filelist='/opt/Interwoven/od/OpenDeployNG/userlib/' -k srcarea='/opt/Interwoven/od/OpenDeployNG/userlib/' -k targetArea='/tmp/opendeploy';

Got OpenDeploy service

You're seeing that error in the sending-side or receiving-side log?

the odrcvr.xml file you posted looks like there's two files in there along with some shell commands?
The top "file" looks like it should work,; the bottom "file" looks like it should fail because it doesn't list the base server as an allowed host.

You don't have the allowed host section for myinswggn03.r5.com with /tmp/opendeploy as in the test.xml , check it or This could be becuase the destination could not resolve the source host name. check /etc/hosts in the destination server.

Go through the Documents understand the functionality.
1. What is the use of odnodes.xml, odrcvr.xml or odbase.xml
2. How to run the simple deployment to the server(same or different), what is necessary changes to achieve that.
3. How to define target node in base and the usage
4. Understand the usage of allowed host and allowed directory in odrcvr.xml or odbase.xml

Everything has defined correctly still you face the issue

Possible Cause for OpenDeploy Error: "Could not find matching OpenDeploy client for (ServerX)."

This article contains a possible cause for the following OpenDeploy Error:
"Could not find matching OpenDeploy client for (ServerX)."

If a user has a host name instead of an IP address set up for deployment, they may see the following error: "Could not find matching OpenDeploy client for (ServerX)." Note: ServerX is the TeamSite Server.

Show good Forum manners, explain what the problem actually was and what exactly did you do to fix it.
This way, somebody else experiencing similar issue may find a solution just by using search

What part of the Error message don't you understand? Your original problem was probably caused
by the absent or incorrect "allowedHosts" Entries, now you have absent or incorrect "allowedDirectories"
Entries of these Hosts.
