How to call a java class on click of Preview button on the data capture form

We have a Preview Server - and we are trying to customize the preview functionality in TS to run the deployments to the Preview Server and then do a redirect to the Preview Server

The issue I am facing it is at the first step, on customizing the UI , so that the Preview points to the jave servlet dfined in contet center src.
I am reading through the UI customization guide.
I know that I need to modify the ui_custom.xml. What I do not know is the id for the Preview link.Can anybody help please ?It would be great if somebody can share any sample customization code.I am pretty new to CMS itself, leave alone TeamSite.

You need to register an "On Preview" event within the form / DCT. Look at FormAPI guide, there is an event for onPreview, onSave, etc. Then use CallServer that can call some servlet, JSP, Perl, etc. All of this should be in the FormAPI guide.

Check [iwproxy_preconnect_remap] section iw.cfg file if it helps for your preview.

If this is within FormsPublisher, do what vpatel said. If you're talking about overriding the preview functionality from within ContentCenter, you will need to use ui_custom.xml as you've indicated. Try something like this (you will OBVIOUSLY need to modify for your own settings and needs):
