-x overwrites any conflict.

If that does what you want it to do, then great, but using -x on iwupdate is definitely not skipping modified files.

Example
>iwupdate -x main/branch1/WORKAREA/wa1 main/branch1/WORKAREA/wa2

copies all the files that are different in workarea wa1 to workarea wa2, overriding any conflicts.

I cannot test this right now, but looking at the documentation it is possible that

-s

might do the trick.

Alternatively, use something like iwcmp between the two areas first, parse the results eliminating files that are marked as modified in the target area to generate a list of files you do want to update - then use the

-f file

flag to provide that list to iwupdate.
