Deployment failure due to unrecognized filenames

Dear All,

I am trying to deploy some files which have Chinese/Japanese characters in their names. The deployment fails and I received the error message stating

"Could not open file (Y:\default\main\path\abc ????.xml) to send over.
00032LIB: 2011-12-12 12:24:26 ERROR: deploy-failed.
LIB: 2011-12-12 12:24:26 Receiver-ERROR: ERROR: Could not get file(F:\www\path\-\abc ????.xml)."

Normally we will remove the chinese characters (the 5 qn marks in the error log) and redeploy. It gets deployed.

Kindly let me know if there is a permanent solution to this other than renaming it each time.

Was this working earlier or is this the first time you are trying to deploy?

What is the locale of your Windows server and TeamSite version? Please check the Product compatibility matrix to see if your TeamSite and OpenDeploy versions are supported on Chinese (or other locales you are testing) locale.

I experienced the same issue on teamsite 7.2.0.
To resolve this, I converted the file names into the UTF-8 format.

It was not working earlier also. TS 6.5, Win2k3. TS supports (recognizes those characters) but OD doesn't.
