Problem in generation using XSLT

Hi,

We are using XSLT based PTs for preview and generation. Preview is working fine while we are generating from the command-line using iwgen, XSL tags are not getting transformed into HTML. On the other hand, output file is generating fine when we are using the generate url i.e.
http://server_name/iw-cc/urlgenerate?dcr=DCR_Name&pt=PT_name&output=Output_File_Name

Any pointers will be appreciated.

the TST manual states iwgen works with presentation templates (but says nothing about XSLT). I do not know if that is an oversight or it truly only works with TPLs. From your experience, I expect it is the latter.

Perl based Templates:
/iwhome/bin/iwgen -t templatevpath -r recordvpath [-e encoding] vpath

XSLT based Templates:
/iwhome/bin/XalanTransform XMLFileName XSLFileName [OutFileName]

I tried the command that you have suggested but got the following error -

ld.so.1: XalanTransform: fatal: libxalan-c1_1.so: open failed: No such file or directory
Killed

I searched on the internet regarding this error and found that we need to enter some path in .profile for Xalan. But I was not able to find the file.

Any suggestions?

If this is Linux, type:

locate libxalan

and post what the results are. If the correct shared library is available then you put that in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH env variable.

locate didnt work but I found the file libxalan-c1_1.so at the path -
/iw-home/lib/

Also echo $LD_LIBRARY_PATH returns nothing.

I will contact the system admin for setting environment variable if its already not there and post the results.

just do this

LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/iw-home/lib/; export LD_LIBRARY_PATH

and try xalan

If that works, put it in your profile/bashrc

(this syntax assumes you are running bash or ksh)
