maketoolkit crashed TS/unable to bring back up - please help

IT ran a maketoolkit for us last nite, and it crashed our production TS 6.7.2 sp2 environment...so we took out the changes, reran the toolkit, and we still cannot get the production box back up. we have a ticket open w/ iwov, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

when trying to access the login page, we get a 404 apache/tomcat error. i dont see anything interesting in the logs besides...

make_toolkit.ipl removes all the toolkits and re-deploys them - my guess is that it got as far as the first part, but not the second - ergo, none of the toolkits (jar-files, war-files, etc.) currently exist in IWHOME/httpd/webapps[/content_center] - yes?

Try running make_toolkit.ipl again and look for any error messages it might display.

Also - verify your toolkits.xml file is not corrupted.

Hi Eric,

Try to start the servlet engine manually if it is down, and if in case it goes down again you would get a hot spot log file that would help us.

I have a ticket open with Support on a very similar issue with TS 672 SP2 and was able to get the server back online by...

1) Removing the line referring to customer.tk.war from iwhome/local/config/lib/content_center/toolkits.xml

2) And running ./install_webapps.sh -f -i from iwhome/install

Your customizations will obviously not work but at least the server will *hopefully* start.

Also make sure the permissions of the iwhome/httpd/webapps/event_subsystem and content_center directories are 775.
