Restricting workflow access to a workarea

I am trying to limit the availability of a workflow to a particular workarea in a branch. I've read the doc's and the other posts.

ts.670.wf.pdf says you can restrict by Command, Role, Group, User, Branch but not workarea.

Is that the final word with TeamSite 6.7.1 or can someone lead me through restricting a workflow to a workarea?

You used to be able to do that. TS 5.X timeframe, however that was never supported, but it worked. I do not think you can do that now.

You can force it in the WFT, but someone in a different workarea could kick it off and get an error message.

You might be able to do it with the vpath-regex directive.

Any ideas how we can do this. I've tried all combinations with vpath-regex. It doesn't seem to fix

Hard to tell, the DTD specifies vpath-regex but that does not come up in the WF manual.

You may need to talk to support. Post what you tried to see if someone can offer some pointers.

To restrict the workflow to a specific workarea or workareas you can continue the branch path value to include the WORKAREA directory and the name of the workarea. You can also include a regex here as documented in the workflow reference guide. In the below example, any WORKAREA in the branch named "branchname" that started with "work" will have the Restricted Staging Workflow available via the submit button.
