TeamSite and IE8/Win7 compatibility

We are upgrading our PCs to Windows 7 and IE8. We have encountered problems running TeamSite 6.7.0 in this environment so our plans were to upgrade to the latest TeamSite version but we were told there are no plans to provide a compatible TS client in the near future. Is there anyone else that's in this situation? We'd be interested in hearing what others are doing. One of the main problems we've encountered is with the Visual Format plug-in. When you try to open a file in VF, it messes up the URLs in the file.

Windows 7 and IE 8 are both listed as supported with TS 7.2 (revision 3 of the release notes) - they're not listed in the 7.1 release notes - so you need to upgrade TeamSite to at least 7.2 for them to be officially supported (I've seen things work with 6.7.2, but it's kind of hit-or-miss and you're much more likely to run into confusing issues that way)

As for VFE - if you upgrade to 7.2 (or later) that should probably work too. Not sure about the URL being messed up.

we are currently running 6.5 and migrating to 7.2.1, shortly all PC's will be upgraded to windows7& IE8 across the company.

there were some issues identified with Java being available and VFE , but all identified problems were low in risk assessment

is there any specific problem which you were told which will not make teamsite work..just curious Smiley Happy
