Components containing components ?

OK, worked on a page with a set of tabs that hide/show sections with a div style="display:none" and JS to flip the switch. HTML works fine.

Putting this into SP is a little more problematic. Basically I can figure out how to build a page with a single section turning on/off. The problem is that the users want to be able to drag and drop components into this component.

From what I see my options are: make the tab component a DCR and include whatever I want, make the tab component a TinyMCE editor or make each tab a seperate page.

None of which are good options. If I have to, I will pick #3.

Am I missing some other approaches ?

How about a container/replicant datum (containing any set of datums per container/replicant) for each tab?

Replicant datum ? I will have to dig into that. To be certain we are not talking about a DCR but an actual component.

YES a group of datums could be lumped together and replicated. Very similar to the "container / replicant" concept in a DCT. Make sense?

OK now another question, I have this component working (it is a tabbed page, with a variable number of tabs, by default the 1st is visible and the others are hidden - JS shows it when a tab is pressed).

What I am curious is how can I add components (though the GUI) to a Group ?

My Datum is:

So now, it just displays the Tab data in the hidden div. But for production use I need to be able to add some random components, and I cannot seem to add a component INSIDE the group.

Tips/Pointers/RTFMs appreciated
