Webdesk show Workareas has different results

Hi,
We seem to have come across a strange problem. Basically we have one machine where I log into the Webdesk and click on Browse -> Workarea and I get the full list of Workarea's available for that user.
But if I log in as the same user on a different machine I get back "No workareas available".
If I log in as the same user on both these machines in the Webdesk Pro then I see all the workarea's correctly. Its only on the one machine that there is a problem in Webdesk.
I am hoping this is a machine specific problem. Only the first machine is on the Network, the other is dialling in from "outside". For the second machine all other IWOV functionality is there and is correct so I don't think that is the problem.
We are using LDAP - would there be any issue with that - could it possibly be timing out?
Are there any browser settings that need to be set for that bit of functionality to work?
I am aware that this is a litle vague, but I really don't know how to resond to the questions being asked here!
Any information would be most helpful.

I assume the one not showing the workareas is the one where you dialup?
Are you going through a VPN or proxy or something that might alter the authentication?
