Asset import issues in TS 5.5

Hello,

Has anyone came across the problem when a digital asset(Excel file in this case) is not allowed to be imported in workarea.

I am trying to import a excel file in workarea and am getting error and it is not allowed to be imported. The issues is in TeamSite 5.5.


Any help will be appreciated.

First off - 5.5 is extremely ancient and, at least theoretically, unsupported - so you should be looking to upgrade - and it will be a fairly extensive project as a fair amount has changed since then.

Secondly, unless someone customized your Import function (something that we won't know anything about because we're not there) - the OOTB import feature, to the best of my recollection, will let you import anything you want - provided you have permissions in the target workarea and there is sufficient space in the backing store.

How big is the file? Have you tried with a smaller file of the same type? Have you tried doing this in other workareas?
