Restore files without TS GUI

A file has been deleted after its submission.

I know the steps how to restore them in TS GUI.

Is there a way to restore them with any CLT / Scripts? (without using TS GUI).

I don’t have any specific need to do so but just curious.

I do know that I can see the deleted files in TS GUI with ‘View > View All and Deleted Files’, And I can’t see those deleted files in command line with ‘ls’ command in the workarea path. But, I don’t want to conclude myself that as because it is not visible in command line that it is not possible.

Yea there are different ways to do this. If it is in the Staging area but not the workarea, iwupdate will work

There are ways if the delete was submitted as well.

The way to retrieve a file even when deletion is submitted is through the last version of file in the Edition, is there an other way which i am missing?

If you do not have editions you can use hidden editions or you can use either iwrlog or iwattrib which can look at deleted items. It is a pain but I have done it before.

You might also want to look at iwrevert - Not sure if it works with a deleted file, but I think it might as long as it can resolve the historical version from the branch associated with the initial vpath argument.
