Convert epoch time to useful time

Hi All,

I am using: my $test =system("iwgetwfobj $jobid >> $outputFile"); in my workflow code which helps me to create archive of all workflow tasks. But in xml output i could see all date in epoch format.

I would like to convert this time format to readable format. Can you please help me in this?

Well - if you're seeing a number like:

1267625005

- then just use

scalar localtime(1267625005);

.

If you're seeing a number like

1267625005000

- divide it by 1000 before using the above approach, which would give you something like:

Wed Mar 3 09:03:25 2010

If you don't like that format, you could do something like:

use Date::Format;
my $time = "1267625005";
my $date = time2str("%Y-%m-%d %H:%M:%S", $time);
print "$date\n";

Which results in:

2010-03-03 09:03:25
