What is Visual Annotate "cycle" drop down

Hey, Currently our department is in the process of upgrade TS 6.7.2 to TS 7.1. Does anyone know what exactly what the "Cycle 1 " drop down from the Visual Annotate drop down represents in TS 7 ?? I assume it is a method of reviewing past page annotations, if so, how or when does this get incremented ?

That's normally done in the Workflow that enables Visual Annotate.

You organize Cycling with dedicated "Start Review Cycle" / "End Review Cycle" External tasks.
"Start Cycle" actually just increases job variable "cycle". Annotation data gets saved as EAs
with the corresponding Cycle for reference
