Attach Task restriction to not attach root level folder

Hi

Is there any possibility that we can restrict users not to select the root level folders while attaching files in attach task using Attach Files?

E.f.
In a workarea say /default/main/common/WORKAREA/content, user should not be allowed to attach files one lever inside content workarea, but they can still select 2 or more level sub folders to the workarea.

PS : User should still be allowed to attach sub folders to the root folder.

Chances are there's no way to prevent the choice at the UI level unless it is a custom UI (which it doesn't sound like) - instead you would probably have to put in some external task code to [re-]check the list of files (and directories) attached to the job and then take whatever is deemed the appropriate action if you find that something you don't want selected was...

Yes, if we can't find any way to restrict user not to select root level folder, then we will go with the option you have suggested.

I will wait and see if someone has any idea (some hacking sort of idea) to restrict user not to select the root level folders in a workarea.

I think many a times users by mistake select the root level folder (or it gets selected while selecting other files), so Autonomy should come up with a solution for this if they have not already.

You can always file a feature request with Support - but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to be addressed...
