Upgade/Migration TeamSite 6.7.1 to TeamSite 6.7.2

Aleks

Hi Everyone,

We are planning to upgrade TeamSite 6.7.1 to TeamSite 6.7.2, and migrate TeamSite 6.7.1 in Solaris 10 upto TeamSite 6.7.2 Linux, in totally different boxes.

In TeamSite 6.7.2 has TS 6.7.2 base, TS 6.7.2 SP1 and TS 6.7.2 SP2. Should I follow this order to install or can I jump to TS 6.7.2 SP2 after TS 6.7.2 base?

We also need to install other Interwoven products, as like OD, MT, Index/Search, and ReportCenter.

Has anyone have experience of migration in different platform? Do you have any suggestion?

Any even tiny piece of sentences will be appreciated!

Sincerely,

SPs are inclusive - so you can skip SP1 if you're installing SP2.

Thank you Fish!
Do you have any suggestion for this kind of migration?

You have 2 different issues, upgrading to 6.7.2 is trivial. Moving from Solaris to Linux is more time consuming. Worry about that.

Leave the Solaris server running. Install 6.7.2 fresh on the Linux box.

I hope you have a way to identify customizations to TS/OD (like a config branch) You have to move those all over. You also have to move/migrate the backing store. It is not possible to move a backingstore from DOS to Linux, so I am not certain if you can just tar it up and copy it over. That *should* work, but I have never tried. Those will be your 2 largest concerns.

You should take care of the order of installation, go through the installation guides. Since, you are not into SP and LS, these should be pretty straight and solid.
