UI Toolkit cahnges in TS SP 7.2 ?

Hi,

Writing the long story as I am doing a POC.You are welcome to correct me,if our approach is wrong.

We are planning to replace our FormsPublisher based CMS system to a SitePublisher based one.We are trying to get maximum benefit out of TS 7.2 license. We don't have LiveSite Display Services and Targetting licence.

Our plan is to create componenets and templates which can be managed by the business users to create the website.So we need a mechanism to change the .page files to ASP (which will further be deployed to IIS).


Found some posts here that uncommenting few line in iw-home/httpd/webapps/content_center/WEB-INF/conf/livesite/ui_common.xml will do the trick. But iw-home/httpd/webapps folder is empty.Seems there is a major change in UI customization for version 7.2.Checked ref_livesite_ui_common.xml , But couldn't find any relevent entries.

Also is there anything relevant /iwadmin/main/spars/WORKAREA/Installed/foundation/toolkit_src spar?

What you are really talking about it generating static renditions from .page to .asp file. This is doable with exactly what you have outlined. OOTB .page to .html generation is configured. You can change that by doing the UITK modifications and it'll change the generated output extensions to .asp instead of the default .html.
