[An Error Occured while porcessing the directive] - Error !

I get the error "[An Error Occured while porcessing the directive]" in the html page when I try to generate a page from a DCT.

The same files (datacapture.cfg, PT and js) works perfectly in Teamsite version 6.7.1...This is happening only in the version 7.2. I am not sure if its due to migration from 6.7 to 7.2. I am assuming its caused becoz of server configuration where 7.2 is installed.We use a Unix box.

Can anybody help?.Thank you in advance

If I understand correctly you are using dynamic linked file (either ipl/pl or html) and it's failing while generating, I did a similar upgrade last year from 6.7.2 to 7.2 and don't see any issues with templating.

Have you tried modifying the linked files or removing the .tpl content and writing one liner text? you need to do some back and forth trail and errors with it and find out what is really causing the generating failure.

Can you try to dig into this a bit further? E.g.: Is the problem in the actual page generation, or the rendering of the generated page?

The first would generally be an indication of something wrong with the TPL, the DCR, or the program being used to process the DCR with the TPL.

The second would generally be an indication of something wrong with the web server (and/or its configuration) being used to render the generated output file (which you should also check by viewing the actual source of the generated output file to make sure it looks correct).

I am sorry .The issue was resolved and I totally forgot about this post. Thank you guys for your help

@Ghoti...You were spot on.its was web server configuration issue.answering your question the error was during rendering of a generated page.

Here is what happened.The xsl has html pages embedded in them using include tags. Apparently the web server as to be configured to process these include tags.The error went away once the necessary configuration was made in the new server.
