CCSTD Locking Behavior application.xml setting not working

All the obvious stuff I've done. I'm on TS 6.7.2 SP2 patch 1 Solaris 10

The behavior of when a file is "locked" by the person clicks [Edit] but does NOT make changes to a DCR is different from CCPRO to CCSTD.

In CCPRO the DCR is ONLY locked when the user clicks [Edit] and makes a change to the DCR.

In CCSTD the DCR is locked just by clicking [Edit]

Users at my site are inadvertently locking files in CCSTD by clicking [Edit] to view data and then closing the window, clicking back, cancel etc..

My idea was to add the following to the application.xml and rebuild the UI.

No dice. Please help.

The parameter you're trying to set is at the application level, not the interface level. You need to replicate the exact structure that you find in the reference files.

Your application.xml should look like this instead (assuming your branch is set to use Submit Locking model:

<param id="iw.common.edit.submit_lock_model.lock_on_edit" value="false"/>
</applications>

That should remove the greedy locking.

I tried both of the below and in CCSTD without success. When I elect to [Edit] a file it locks it whether I make a change to it or not?

I'm assuming you ran make_toolkit.ipl in between changes?

I'd say this is the point where you phone support and ask them why the parameter is being ignored.

Yea. I did all that. We have a fair amount of changes so I am familiar with the process. Thanks for the help.
