Browse Only Taxonomy and using WildCard Characters

Is the any way to pull back an entire taxonomy and populate a drop-down list to enable a user to manually select the desired terms. Or is there a way to use wild card characters when performing a search for a term within a taxonomy. (ie. a* - should return to me all the taxonomy terms beginning with the letter "a".)

When a user chooses "add/edit," they can then do a search and navigate the taxonomy until they find the desired term to assign as metadata. That's as close as MetaTagger gets to a drop-down list. You could certainly use the labels from a taxonomy to make a drop-down list in a datacapture item element, but that list won't be metatagger enabled.

As far as allowing wild card searches when assigning metadata from the Tagger GUI, if you index your taxonomy using right truncation, you can use partial terms for search (you don't need the wild card.) So, if you indexed in this way, you can search for "aus" you will get "Australia" "Austria" and "Austin, Texas" returned for you to pick from.

Below is an example configuration file that you would use with iwloadvocab to create your browsing/searching indexes. Note that case sensitivity is set to false--change this as needed.
