Upgrade 6.7.2 to 7.2.1 restart at which point?

I read somewhere
"When you want to upgrade Teamsite from 6.7.2 to 7.2.1 you must run the installer twice. The first time, all components except for the Administration UI are installed;the second time, the Administration UI is installed".

Do I need to follow the instruction on the screen (upgrade teamsite, restart server and stuff), or do I need to stop the installer at some point and restart the installer?

Because i have already done the upgrade now, and nothing works Smiley Sad

Post the piece of server.log where it actually has messages and/or stack trace related to why iw-cc failed to initialize.

You are probably talking about one of my posts. You have to run the installer several times, 1st for JBoss and common services, another for Teamsite, a third time for TS Admin.

Not that will help you with your current issue.

I cant go any further with the upgrade.
I have started the machine several times and also the installer.

It says something about reportcenter but I am NOT using reportcenter.
(I try this upgrade with the licence of 6.7.2 teamsite)

That's a problem with the new installer, not your install itself.

Move installer.properties (from iwinstall/private/conf or something like that) to somewhere else and run the installer again. It should start asking you for those parameters, rather than attempting to look them up in the properties file (which was created/updated the last time you ran the installer) and failing to find the key.

OK thanks. I have just done that. Installer did finish.

I can see in the task management that all the services are running.
But when I type localhost I dont see anything. It just redirects to .....com/iw-cc/command/iw.ui.
I am getting the 404 error

Restart the IW Application Container (JBoss) for good measure, then inspect Interwoven/Application Container/server/default/log/server.log for errors relating to the startup of the iw-cc module. Post that part of the log here if you need help interpreting what you see in there.

Try running a LiveSite build (execute 'build' from Interwoven/TeamSite/local/config/lib/content_center/livesite_customer_src). It's odd that the files weren't put there in the upgrade, but running that build should put that missing properties file in the right place.

Thank you for your help.
I ran the build command and I found that one of the java files where not correct. After solving that I could log in to Teamsite content server.
I had some access problems with previewing some files and livesite didn't work. So I am trying a new fresh upgrade.

To start a fresh upgrade, I have restored the backup of the server. Solved the java file problem and began again to upgrade Teamsite.

I hope this time everything will be upgraded as planned.

Ok I have tried a new upgrade.So after helping that java error CC is installed correctly, but there is no Admin console.
When I start the installer again it says Administration console is installed. But that's not the case. I did not install the administration console.

So I am stuck here Smiley Sad

After checking http://localhost:8080/web-console/ --> Monitoring --> Web status --> Full status I am sure that admin console is not installed. Because I don't see it in the list Smiley Sad

I have restarted the installer a couple of 5 times still no option to install administration console.
Does anyone have an idea?
