Import restrictions not working after Teamsite upgrade to 6.7.2 SP2

Hi,

We have done upgrade of 6.5 TS to 6.7.2 on windows 2000.

we have customised the import option in 6.5 and restricted certain file extensions ( e.g video,.swf files ) and filesize above 1 MB to Author and editor role.

now in 672 TS is not recognising the roles and restrictions are getting applied to admin and master as well.

actually we have excluded master and admin from import restriction. but in 672 Admin and master not able to import video files and files more than 1 MB.

i have attched the importFiles.properties and import.log file for ref. log file is taking role of all user as tsuser instead of assigned role on branch.

looking forward for some guidance from experts,

Its a legacy source we have custom_import.ipl which altogether different from default import functionality .ipl files reads importFiles.properties to apply the restriction the roles akllowed are Admin Master however our custom pl fetched the role as tsuser instead of author,editor admion or master.

Are you calling this from the dct or from a workflow?

Can you upload the custom code as well? We won't really be able to help you unless we can see how it's determining the users role.

6.5 code will be using information from

iwhome/conf/roles/*.uid

files in order to determine roles.

6.7 code needs to be completely re-written in that regard and utilize information retrievable via calls to things like iwaccess roles-of-user -vpath vpath -user userid or iwaccess all-roles-of-user userid (or their CSSDK equivalents, but as you're using Perl that probably doesn't apply unless you decide to completely re-implement the process)

Also the access for import can be restricted at admin tab on role basis, the restriction of files and file properties (like size) can be implemented by tweaking the same code.

Just to clarify, the code I gave was just to get you started so that you could see if you could obtain the correct username and roles. It won't do the filtering.

What do you see in your log file?

You need to pass your vpath and use roles-of-user (instead of all-roles-of-user) to your iwaccess command as indicated by ghoti. I neglected to use that in the code I gave you.
