Attributes tagged using iwextattr are not being interpreted by metatagger

We are attempting to tag files using iwextattr -s. We are able to see the changes when using iwextattr -l. When we pull up one of the files in MetaTagger it is not recognizing the changes made using iwextattr. For example:

$ iwextattr -s "TeamSite/Metadata/program_codes=MTS::LKZWKL4FY" test.jsp

$ iwextattr -l test.jsp | grep -i program
TeamSite/Metadata/program_codes=MTS::LKZWKL4FY

In MetaTagger though, the program area will not show these changes. We also noticed that it appears that the subjectMetadata field appears to control the MetaTagger display. We were able to get the prgram_codes attribute to pull up correctly in MetaTagger when we manually adjusted the subjectMetadata0 field as would have occurred when tagging directly using MetaTagger. What step are we missing to get a backend attribute change to show up in MetaTagger? We are using MT 4.3 and TeamSite 7.1.

Were you able to solve this issue? I am running into a similar problem running TeamSite 7.2.1 on Windows 2008 with Metatagger 4.1.3
