Change the Color and size of font in DCR ?

I need to display some text message in bold red color at the top of the DCR (either on new form entry or edit existing DCR), on the basis of some condition.

Please see the attached file for actual picture of willing DCR.

questions is - How can I change the color and font size of text?

Also I have done something like -

item name="exattr" pathid="exattr"
text maxlength="100" required="f" size="100"
default For testing /default
/text
/item

But this will display the text message on top of DCR but inside a text box. Is there any way by which this text will appear on DCR without text box, text area, lable; Just simply on DCR plane.?

'far as I know, there's no supported way of doing that.

I suggest using IWDatacapture.displayMessage("my warning") instead, which sounds like it might be a suitable approximation of what you're trying to do.

No - not in a supported fashion. The default "status messages" get displayed at the bottom of the DCT screen. You can try to configure the CSS for that so you get "red, bold" font. However, if you need to change the placement to the top then more than likely you'll need some workaround.

You can set empty "Message" Container on the top of DCT and use this Containers's Label as
your Message. With little ingenuity you can control Label styling from FormAPI, font, color, whatever.
I've illustrated the trick somewhere on the Forum. This is a hack though, neither documented nor supported

Adding to Boris reply: You can show hide the message container based on condition using FormAPI. As suggested you have to hack DCT to changing look and feel of the message text.

But I think iwdatacapture.displaymessage("my message") will display message in bottom left (please correct me if I am wrong)?
