DCR failed to save

webkicha

I have TS 552 and templating on win2k. sp2 installed first and then SP4 installed for both. This is totally a new installation thou. I'm getting an error when trying to save a new DCR.
"The DCR /[file path]/ failed to save. Check the path or contact teamsite admin." I checked file permissions on data directory. but I din't see any problem with permission. What else could cause this problem. Hope this is a peace of cake for some one out there!!

I would check your templating.cfg and make sure the regex's in the locations element are correct. I experienced this problem when I found my regex was defined with a trailing slash.

So mess around with the vpath-regex attribute.

well, I did that too. But of no luck. any other work arounds??
one more thing. I could not able to see .raw folder under default. will it cause any problem to saving dcr's?

Have you used any formapi code in your DCT for onSave()?

Hi webkicha
Did you have any resolution to this problem? I'm encountering it too.
Thanks,

Im having the same problem...uggg come on this is rediculos!!!!!!!!!!

When changing windows permissions the other day some how the data folders got marked as read only. What could have casued that? Every once and awhile I will see that a folder is marked read only.

The problem made sense because I could edit other drcs in the data folder but not create ones through templating.
Unmarking the data folders as read only fixed the problem

Thanks in advance!
