Is it possible to regenerate single output file from 2 DCTs?

Hi,

I am using Teamsite 6.7.1 on unix and XSLT for presentation templates.

I am capturing title/labels for some menus in one DCT and some messages in another DCT.
I want to generate a single .properties file as output from these DCTs.

I am ok with combining these 2 DCTs in a single DCT. But, want to show the sections of menus and messages separately as these are not related. Just to generate a single .properties file as output, I am planning to combine these DCTs.

I could think of separate containers for these 2.

Would like to know if there is any better way to identify these as separate sections in a single DCT?
Or is there a way to regenerate existing single output file with the modified content from both the DCTs

From the developer documentation, I found that 'Tab' tag is an option to show separate tabs in DCT, but it is applicable ONLY to XML type of DCT and not 'iwov' ones.

Pl. let me know if there is any better option to achieve my requirement.

Hi,
Not very clear about your requirement but still trying to reply.
If I assume that you have two set of users then in that scenario you can use two containers and hide/show the containers on the basis of radio button.
If this is not helping you then to be specific to your question yes you can call an XML file in your DCT.

There's a number of recent threads (albeit in the LiveSite forum) that talk about reading a second DCT from within your XSL template, which is probably your best option if you want to keep your content in separate DCTs.
