DCR not getting populated in view mode

In following DCT, I have populated fields. when I view the saved DCR, I can only see "en_title" field populated. Eventhough, I have populated all the fields. Any ideas why is it so ?
When I see this DCR in TextPad, I can see all fields populated. Usually its because of improperly formatted DCT, but in here I feel I have formatted it well.

I got this figured out.

In container "name" and "location" had a mismatch. So I matched both and it started showing DCR populatd in "view" mode.

But still I dont understand, when I have DCT type defined as iwov, it uses only "name" attribute and does not look at "location" attribute. So even if there is a mismatch, what difference does it make ? DCR should be populated in "view" mode.

It is allowed by TeamSite to have different names for "name" and "location" in Container and "name" and "pathid" in Item.

Does this mean that I always have to have same name for "location" or "pathid" attribute as "name" attribute ? If not, then how can I see DCR populated in "view" mode, when "name" and "location" attributes in Container and "name" and "pathid" attributes in Item are different ?

In DCR XML Type you can certainly use different name/location and name/pathid.
Matter of fact, if you configure DCR Item as Tag's attribute name/pathid pair
can not be identical - it will differ by (at least) attribute name.

We have no problems using this stuff in any mode, Edit, View, what have you.
So - to explain behavior you observed:

- Where did you get a DCR? Has it been created by the same DCT you've used to View it?
Has it been perhaps imported, created by some data feed, migrated during upgrade etc?

- Have you perhaps modified DCT after the DCR has been created?
Have you changed type from IWOV to XML after DCR has been created?

- Do you use FormAPI to display some Items? Note that FormAPI is disabled in the "View" mode.

With the type IWOV "location" and "pathid" Attributes are meaningless.
If present at all they may have any values, DCT Parser ignores them anyway.
Semantics for these attributes exists only with XML Type.

So, whatever behavior you observed / fixed, etc - it had nothing whatever to do
to "location" and "pathid" Attributes
