TS 7.1 installation issue

hey,

i'm doing TS 7.1 installation. During the installation I need to enter databse information in one of the screens. This is for Sitepublisher. However I'm getting error Database connection failed.: java.lang.nullpointer exception.

In the previous screens during installation I could successfully enetr the same details.

Please help with some information.

Which version of MS SQL are you running and which version of the jdk are you using?

On my machine, SQL 2008 is working with jdk1.6.0_18 and the jdbc driver sqljdbc4.jar.

Make sure the path is correct to the driver and all information is correct in the installer

Did you create require DB(s) before installation?
And the ID entered for accessing db has full privileges?

Yes that is correct.

well they moved me to another project!

It's working now. The fix was to manually start the jboss service before entering the database information for TS reporting.

What kind of database account was that, was it a AD account or local SQL account, I am facing a similar issue, my installer is failing to install 7.3.2 when i enter user id and password which are AD account, but if i use SQL account it proceeds has any one used AD account to connect to database.
