Hi Everyone,I have a requirement of displaying an alert box when the teamsite session is about to expire. Is that possible in some way.Thanks..Teamsite 7.1Windows 2003 Platform
If you're in the middle of editing a DCR and you haven't saved your changes, would you lose that window on a save when your session times out? I can't seem to remember if that's the case.
Why?What difference does it make if you get an alert? If you try to do something within the GUI and your authentication has timed out - TeamSite will bring up the login page anyway, so all your alert would do is cause the user to actually logout and login again (two steps, three if you count acknowledging the alert dialog box) rather than attempting to do something and being provided a login page and then having the process continue (one step)
Well the motive behind this requirement is not to display a alert pop up exactly but asking user a little before the session times out if he wants to let the timeout happen or not..a pop up something like.. "the session is about to expire. Do you want to continue working?" with a Yes or No buttons Just that. Actually i can manage without it. but since it came as a query i thought of sharing it with you.. Thanks..
