Special Character appearing in the NodeName

ssharma48

Hi,

We are retrieving the SiteMap using the Interwoven default LivesiteSiteMap getSiteMap method.
If any special character like © ,® etc appear in the Node name then it breaks.

Please suggest how can we handle the special character appearing in the node name.

The sitemap is typically properly UTF-8 encoded, as is your XSL. You must be "breaking it" by doing something in your XSL and not properly handling the output.

Which line(s) in your XSL are breaking because of this, specifically?

Thank for the response.

Its is breaking before XSL is applied over it. If we remove the character it work fine i.e LivesiteSiteMap return the XML.

Consider using the entity version of the character instead, e.g. © or © or © instead of ©.

Hi Shikha,
If you are using getSiteMap method of LiveSite API and trying to use special chars while creating site nodes then it is not supported.
As a solution you need to create external java for using it in breadcrumb or else there.

Shikha,

Please mention the TS and LS version you are using?
