I am deleting the generated HTML as well as content Editorail dcr from using the perl scripts. It is deleted sucessfully.

Now I want delete or removed deleted DCR from my parent page DCR using the same script.

How to remove it from parent DCR.

Please provide the code snippet you have so far as what you were doing to remove the content Now, and how you want to delete the content from your Parent DCR,

You can always parse your DCR in any Perl Script and delete or add what you want to do.

Since the concept of parent and children DCRs is not something provided OOTB - this represents a local customization, and we're not going to try to figure out what you are trying to do and how you're trying to do it without a fair amount more of information from you.

For instance:

simple regex replacement parsing of the "parent" DCR(s), or you might have to do some form of XML parsing. In the case of the latter, there are several different modules you might use - have you done any research into these? Tried to write any code using them? etc.

The Child is the only referenced with in one parent

You didn't quite answer the question, but we'll let that go for now.

Well, if the relationship is stored in a DB - you should be able to perform a simple query on the DB to find the parent DCR with which the [deleted] child DCR is related, and then [programmatically] edit the parent DCR to remove the reference (you'll need to make sure the DB is updated accordingly, but since you are both deleting the child and the reference within the parent DCR - both should get submitted and deployed - so this should not require additional effort).

That's a bit of a shame, as the "xml" style is a bit more straight-forward - but it's not a show-stopper.

This then gets us to the issue of how to remove data from a DCR programmatically. This can be done through either a carefully constructed regex or via an XML parsing/editing module -- both of which have been discussed in the forums before (either here or in the Perl forum most likely) - so you should do a bit of research through the forums to find an answer you can understand and work with.

The complexities aren't completely over though, since you need to understand how the child DCR is referenced within the parent DCR in order to know how to remove that reference. Things to consider:

Regex's are "quick-and-dirty" but you have to make sure you construct it carefully to make sure you only remove the data you want to remove. XML processing is more structured but can sometimes be equally confusing. In either case - doing lots of testing and debugging is the way to achieve the results you're after.
