Unlock DCR

Hello Everyone,

We have a requirement to enable admin users to unlock any DCRs in their WORKAREA. This is not feasible using the Unlock functionality present in TS 6.7.1. Is this particular peice of functionality being removed as part of TS 6.7.1 because of specific reasons or we can have it with some configurational changes? Kindly suggest. Thanks.

Just go to the Administration tab - Inside roles and permissions click on manage roles.
Check the Administration role, then check all the activities in detail. You will get one check box for "Unlock File/DCR", just remove that and update.

Hi, Actually the requirement is that an admin user should be able to unlock ANY DCR i.e. DCRs created by other editors also. The option that you have provided enables the user to unlock their own DCRs only. Please suggest.

TS 6.7 gives lot of flexibility regarding roles, this is different from older versions you have seen. To test an user for the requirement, take a particular user who is an admin and check his roles in a given workarea, see if any group is sharing that workarea and what this user has role in it. You can also create a own role and add this user and allow him to unlock the files accordingly.
