Inserting DCR field values into Microsoft SQL server DB

Hi Experts,
As I am new to TeamSite and i have the basic knowledge of creating DCT and TPLs only.

Now i want to learn how to insert the DCR field values into the Microsoft SQL server DB, so can any one help me to know which modules of perl should i use and which PDF i should refer to understand how to insert dcr values in DB.

Please tell something as which is also needed.

If you're using DataDeploy (DD) - then you should not need any Perl code to insert the data into the database - you just need to make sure you have the correct db-driver jar file and a properly written DD configuration file. All of this is covered in the OpenDeploy and DataDeploy product manuals.

If you do not want to use DataDeploy - then you need to look at Perl DBD and DBI modules or their Java equivalents. I'd suggest reading the perldoc for DBI and looking at search.cpan.org and/or google for general information.

There are pros and cons to both approaches - much of them are subjective, so it's ultimately up to you to determine what you like / don't like and/or what you are capable of working with.
