Extracting DCR Content for DB payload

Hi All-

We are trying to avoid writing custom service code that takes DCR values on the TeamSite side, and writes them to EAs for the database payload (Data Deploy).

My example would be HTML content captured at the DCR level being a candidate from CLOB fields in the DB. In the past we accomplished this with standalone deployments. We would like to get away from these DNR scripts to handle this and standardize on dbLoader.

From what I understand, the dbLoader implementation in OpenDeploy has a limitation (atleast on 6.2.x) where "value-from-element" (accessing the DCR XML Xpath directly) is not available on deployed DCRs, only the EAs.

Is this still valid with the latest version of OpenDeploy? Seems like core functionality that should be "in-the-box".

Any insights from the group would be appreciated.

Did using <xmlData> or <xmlAndEaData> instead of <eaData> as a child of the <dbLoader> element work out for ya?
