Issue with CLT

Hi,

I am trying to execute a CLT from CGI with back tick operator and every time it fails with error message "Died".

Command I am using :

[HTML]
`E:\teamsite\OpenDeployNG\bin\iwodserverstatus > /out.txt` || die "Issue with command$!";
[/HTML]

Any pointers what I am missing?

I am on TS 6.7.2 / windows / OD-6.1

The problem is Windows doesn't understand backticks. Try to use system call instead.

Your problem is that Backtick String gets evaluated, like double quotes. So, try

`E:\\teamsite\\OpenDeployNG\\bin\\iwodserverstatus > /out.txt`...

or better yet, use qx

(in case it wasn't clear from reading - those are double-back-slashes above.
Since this is within a Perl script - my preference would be to switch to using all forward-slashes:

`E:/teamsite/OpenDeployNG/bin/iwodserverstatus > Drive:/out.txt` || die "Issue with command$!";
-or better-
my $result = qx(e:/TeamSite/OpenDeployNG/bin/iwodserverstatus 2>&1);
if ($?) { 
    die "Issue with command: $!";
}
# you can either examine the contents of $result in your code, 
# or open and dump the contents into a file after opening it.
