Convert Workflow model file to WFT file

Hi,
I've been working on Teamsite for some time and got used to working in wft files(using perl) for my teamsite workflows.

As teamsite started promoting Workflow Models for Livesite/Sitepublisher related stuff, I would like to know whether we can convert the Models files IPM+XML to standard wft files so we I can change/modify them?

Atleast if I can convert an existing template say Publish LiveSite Content.ipm to a wft file so that I can start customization.

I would like to know if its possible, before getting deeper into Workflow models.

As much as I would love to be able to do that, it would be incredibly difficult id not impossible. You would need to rewrite a number of tasks in Perl to do the same functions as the LS WF does.

Copy it, make changes with WFM. I use Perl external tasks instead of Java tasks. Works well.

What are you trying to do ?

Thanks for the reply...I'm pretty new to Workflow model programming and used to the good old PERL way of doing things...we have developed vast custom perl libraries to deploy, custom email notifications and other stuff...
I'm ok with the learning process but XML+XSL combination is something which I wanna put myself as last option to work.

I'm eager to program with perl and fine with Java too.

Could you please give me a sample workflow model file(ipm+cfg+xml) with perl external task implemented? That would help to kick off my WFT-> Model process faster.
