Permission denied issue in MediaBin JavaAPI

Well i am running a MediaBin Java API script to insert assets into the MediaBin server. I was able to insert the assets into the root container. But when i tried to insert assets into a sub-container of the root container , i am getting the following error:
The attempted operation was not allowed on this folder.
Though i have full access to the folder.

Permissions are not inherited from parent folders. You have to go in the Windows client, click on the key, select the parent folder, and hit the clone children button for the parent folder permissions to go down to the subfolders. If just one subfolder needs to inherit the parent permissions you can select that folder and click the Inherit button.

My first instinct is that you think the subfolder has the parent permissions; but the parent folders' permissions do not automatically get applied to the subfolders.
