Teamsite 7.2.1 Installation|Issue in installing Admin Component+ CSSDK Soap Service

Hi ,
I am trying to Install Teamsite 7.2.1 without Livesite and Site publiser. I am using Solaris 10 OS and Mysql 5.1.57 as external database and apache webserver. I am installing all different component in 2 groups. Ist I installed all 4 infrastructure components. Then I tried installing rest 3 i.e teamsite7.2.1 +Admin component+CSSDK soap Service. In GUI mode I am getting "Null pointer exception" after Reporting database Screen and installer does not move forward. This seems to be a bug in installer as it does ask for type of Database for Teamsite reporting DB.

Then I tried SILENT INSTALLER approach using property File installer.property to install all 3 components. The installer ran succesfully and installed teamsite succesfully but installer.log is giving error for "IR services not up" and thus CSSDK and Soap Service are not installed completely.
Jboss is up and running, The invertory.xml is giving status "INSTALLED" for Admin component and CSSDK soap service and "Completed" for Rest.
I am getting following output for iwirstat and iwirmapping.

Does any one faced this issue with TS 7.2.1 Any pointer on this would be highly appreciated

Have a look at the startup log for JBoss (Application Container/server/default/log/server.log) for error messages detailing what's actually wrong with your modules.

I checked the server log and commonservice.log and below are the error. But its difficult is predict what is the real root cause of error.
Serverlog as

The real root cause shouldn't be that hard to find (and it's certainly not IllegalStateException). If you must, shut down JBoss, clear out server.log, and then start JBoss again. Then look for the *first* error message(s) and/or stack trace(s) that occurs in server.log, including any "caused by" statements attached to it.

I stoped the Teamsite and cleared the log and then restarted it. teamsite server and jboss running fine. But Following is the error in server.log

Hi All,
I have succesfully installed teamsite 7.2.1 and following are my finding and its resolution with the current 7.2.1 version of teamsite product

1. The installater is not supporting mysql database when configured to non-default port.
2. The installer is also having issues in GUI mode for default port wherein a step seems to be missing which should ask for type of Database for report center. The workaround for this is to run the installer in SILENT MODE using a installer.properties Property file.
3. The database user should have Super User priviledges for installation. This is not mentioned in Release notes or installation guide due to which we faced installation issues even after granting full permission to user by DB team.
4. The mysql jdbc driver(version 5.1.16 latest) is throwing "Communication Link failure" exception due to connection already closed. The older jdbc version (5.0.8) is working fine and giving no such issues.
5. Increase the database connection timeout and wait time as DB connection were getting lost when we set the linit to a lower value.

Hope these finding would help in smooth installation of this product for other people in group

I get an error in the installer log like this :

Your particular error sounds like you're trying to reinstall a component into a schema that's already been populated, and the installer isn't smart enough to reconcile the two (or even figure out that it doesn't need to recreate the table). You might try recreating the schema (user) and installing again.

BTW, I've successfully installed the product with ojdbc6.jar before, so I doubt that's your problem (though the ORA version may be, but 10g and 11g have worked for me in the past on TS7x).

I did not have this particular problem on linux 7.2.1, mysql 5.1.57, mysql java connector 5.0.8.

Thanks all.
It resolved.
I destroyed, purged al the data and its objects, indexes and recreated the entire DB with the same set of previledges I had set up earlier.
And I re-ran the installation, it went on fine.
