Usually, most applications using 3rd party tag library have it running in the same container. So if you have them running on different ports then you are more towards doing JSP includes rather than using JSP tag lib. AFAIK JSP and the corresponding tag library has to be in the same container for the JSP to actually recognize them.

LSCS document is not going to talk about any specific application (i.e. Portal vs custom J2EE vs custom .NET vs Flex or other RIA app) however it's unique platform-agnostic architecture allows it to be integrated with just about any of these. All you need is to make a simple REST (HTTP) call.

Please correct me if my understanding is wrong :If i'm going to use WSRP, i need to use it aroung LSDS. in this case the entire .page can be rendered into the portlet. Presentation part is not done in the portlet side.If i'm going to use LSCS, i've to make requests for each individual content i require in the portlet and then build the presentation logic using my portlet JSP.Thanks,Murugan
