Significance of IWDELTRACKER Table

Could someone explain me the significance of the IWDELTRACKER table in DataDeploy.How is it used during the DataDeploy.I went through the reference materials but could not find much information.

Could someone explain me the significance of the IWDELTRACKER table in DataDeploy.How is it used during the DataDeploy.I went through the reference materials but could not find much information.

IWDELTRACKER is the Table where DD keeps track of "parent/child" relations for the tables
with foreign keys. This allows DD to delete related elements first if "root" entry is to be
deleted. See KB Article 60641 for some details.

Not just that, but if you don't use the vpath as the PK in your root table, IWDELTRACKER also used to map the source file (DCR or XML file) to its root PK. It doesn't matter what PKs and FK relationships are in your schema -- DD uses the PK values that are in your deployed XML as a secondary context, instead using the IWDELTRACKER as the primary context to make decisions between insert/update/delete statements.
