bad local path error
Worthie
We have two very similar deployments configured that both throw up very similar errors (OpenDeploy 5.5.1 - Build 11146). Both are just doing simple compares of Teamsite editions and deploying to a directory on a remote server. I am getting the "bad path" errors as below but cannot see any mis-types or other obvious mistakes where we may have mis-specified the deployment source or target. We have another deployment project which has very similar path info and works fine. If anyone can throw any light on this problem it would be much appreciated....
Below is an extract from the src log file for the deploy.
ERROR: IWDirent(IW_OPEN,Y:\default\main\bp_com2003\EDITION\ed_0004\wwwroot) - err=87, errno=0
ERROR: prepare-failed.
Receiver-ERROR: ERROR: Client specified bad local path
.
ERROR: Failed to deploy local_directory[0]: .\wwwroot
ERROR: Failed 1 directories
THe rcv file shows the following error also:

I assume you've tried copying/pasting the path listed into a DOS prompt window and trying to cd there?
If that works, please post, as an attachment, the deployment configuration being used.

Hi
So what has been the problem with the above mentioned bad local path, since I am getting the same error?
thanks very much
Adam Stoller
If you post, as an attachment, the logfiles and configuration files (BaseServer, Receiver, and deployment) for the failed deployment - we *might* be able to diagnose the problem for you. Otherwise, I suggest you contact Support - who will ask you to collect all the same information and perhaps more.

Did you ever figure out what was wrong? I am getting a similar error when I compare the current EDITION to IW_PREV (and even when explicitly name the editions.)
Thanks for any help.
