VMB RIA Client issues

I've got a Dev install of VMB with a "less than cooperative" RIA client. I'll try to be as detailed as possible but if I miss something, please ask for clarification.

The asset server and the other various aspects (Web Client, LiquidOffice, local client, Enterprise Manager) all seem to work correctly. When restarting the asset server service, I get the appropriate "MBP Server Initialized OK." message in MBP.log. The RIA client can connect to the DAM as it should. Once connected, I see a list of available collections and available actions. The problem is that collections don't have any assets in the them. It's as if the RIA client can't see any assets at all when in the Collections view. Switching to Folders view, I see the assets just as they appear in the other clients.

At first, the RIA client would report SQL Errors. The Driver Name was incorrect but I've since corrected this. I've double-checked the ODBC connection string manually by creating a test DSN to connect to the DB and everything checks out. Essentially, everything DB-related in web.config has been validated and should work. Since fixing web.config, I no longer see any errors reported in the RIA client but the collections still show up empty.

Env notes:
Win Server 2008
SQL Server 2008
Mediabin service account is a local admin on the machine
RIA client, DAM are installed on the same machine

Have you verified that the assets are indexed into IDOL? Collections results are returned from IDOL, not the database repository.

You can ignore the "Driver not capable" message in DB.log.

Make sure the IDOL configuration file has the SetIndexFields section set properly. Is this 7.2.2 version? Because RIA client is available till v7.2.2. And this version comes with OEM IDOL. It's not possible to chek the GetStatus of IDOL directly as it does not allow unencrypted commands.

IDOL logs should provide some info on this issue.
